FS: 1968 Mercedes 230, very good condition
My dad just turned 80 and we decided it is time to sell the family mercedes. It is a 1968 model 230. The body is perfect, never been in an accident, no rust at all, been garaged it's whole life out on the west coast. It has about 140k miles on it, but the engine was replaced and has only about 10k on it now. It was last driven about 6 years ago, and probably will start up fine, but my dad hasn't tried in a while. In terms of things to be fixed, there are the usual small leaks here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary. The one thing my dad wants to stress is that all the rubber parts on the car will need replacing soon enough (all the motor mounts, suspension, etc)... not that anything is broken, just because the rubber is getting old. The details: creme color, sunroof, black leather interior, automatic...
We are ideally looking for someone to give this car a new home and restore it. My dad has a bleeding heart for it and wants to see someone love it a little and have it purr... so we don't want to just junk it or sell it to someone that will drive it till it dies... we are more concerned about its future then about the money it is worth. So if you are interested, please let me know. Car is in the San Francisco Bay Area...
