Ok....taking into account the age of the car and the condition stated and pics iv seen and the fact that im going to have to drive to Jeddah, put the car on export plates and take it back and pray to god nothing happens on the way back....im aiming at 1000USD

Yeah...told you, you wouldn't like the offer... im going to drive the car back to Abu dhabi, and i need export plates in order to register it here, your friend drove it in and back out to KSA... This car is hopefully staying here in Abu dhabi if everything goes as planned. ohh yeah and yes i am an expat!

by the way...for future reference, the price you are aiming for is quite high, for that price you can get a 96 G wagon as these cars (as in old age, no insult to the G) are quite unpopular....a 95 BMW 850CI will set you back $3800 while my 92 SL300-24 cost me close to $2300 and thats considering its a 3rd owner with full service history up to 99....

Whats your reason for buying a G Wagon?

The options are limited...

a) You know its reputation and have to have one.
b) You love off-roading.
c) Its a head turner.
well....unless if i struck oil...then im sorry, thats my last price....Im originally Iraqi but born in Ireland and raised in England...iv lived in Abu Dhabi for the past 16 years and now im studying Management Finance in Dubai hence the limited spending budget...well...if i wanted a head turner i would go for the W463 (2010 G Wagon), offroading and reputation (as in its a no nonsense SUV thats not a boulevard cruiser but designed to tow and do things SUV's were meant to do)....in my opinion...only the Range Rover can match the G on every level...and...end of my rant

yep, the G is a very popular car in the western world especially a W460 (your model year) but here....its sort of frowned upon for a car of that age...seriously? never seen a G in Saudi?!....i find that VERY strange. I love my car...as far as im aware...its the only baby blue one in all of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Lebanon, as regarding to changing plates...im unaware of the procedures in Saudi but here, you come to the DMV and sign off on ownership of the car along with the necessary papers, then you are given an export plate which makes the car temporarily road legal, the new owner will then go to the emirate (state) of his choice and finish with the DMV to receive his full number plates...in the case of a successful sale to me (fingers crossed)...you sign off on the car and money is handed over to you in Saudi and then im off to Abu Dhabi to complete the registration...a quick q though...iv driven lots of G's but never a pre 90's one and all the info on the car are vague at best....does your car come with ABS or power steering?
