I've decided to sell my 1983 300DT that shows about 255,000 on the odometer. I bought the car as a daily driver and meticulously repainted it including a primer of Rust Bullet followed by a bright Ford Blue paint. The Rust Bullet should almost guarantee there will be no rust issues for quite a while. I want to sell it because I just don't like it as much as the W124, which sucks because I've done a lot to it. I've driven the car about 1,000 miles since it came out of the paint shop.
I went over all the systems on the car and replaced anything that was not up to par. It has been tuned up and cleaned up. It has new injector return lines, new fuel and oil filters, new fuel hoses, a cleaned out fuel tank, new transmission filter and fluid, new hood pad, new tires, new front window brushes, new door seals, and some new exterior trim, among other things I'm sure I forgot. Almost everything works including the sunroof, but not the A/C, though the compressor spins freely, or the tach (I mean to order the "fix" amp). The dash is not cracked, and the seats are not torn or stained. There is an older Alpine radio in the dash that is quite reasonable and not at all flashy like the modern ones.
I would like to get $4,000 for the car. I can even put the car up in the air if you want to take a look around underneath. I will have more pictures tomorrow. The piece of drivers door trim missing in the picture has been replaced as well with a new piece. Please PM me for more information.
