FS 79 240D PARTS OR FIX UP.

Hello everyone! I need to get rid of this thing.

The car, Its a 1979 240D with 179,000. Auto transmission. The exterior is white and the interior is all black.

Has six hubcaps that come with car, It also has almost brand new Kelly tires.

The body does have rust, But it still looks very good! Engine runs but doesn't shut off when you turn the key off. don't think this is big deal.

Also new master cylinder. and new fuel filters.

Transmission seems to work fine as far as I can tell.

Car is in Valatie NY. And can have friend deliver it in northeast.

I'm asking $700.00 OBO.

Please if I forgot something ask. If you would like pictures I can email you them just let me know!

Thanks!

-Justin

Hi Dave,
There are rust spots coming thru on the body but it's still in pretty good shape for being a NY car. If you would like I can email you pictures? PM me your email address.

I may still be interested, but you never sent any pics.

I am in Michigan, so when you say the rust is not bad for a NY car, I get scared. I have a badly rotted 240D now and I am looking for a body that is in good or at least reasonable shape.

How much oil does the engine use?

Thanks

Dave

om616, You have a PM. And I will try to post pictures in the page tonight.

Also I don't know if it uses any oil because I don't drive it.

Thanks for the Pics.

The first one I saw was of the quarter panel, and to be honest, it startled me! LOL. Wasn't expecting to see that for some reason.

From the pictures it needs a rear quarter panel, rocker sections, and some fender repair.

My thinking at this moment is this is more than I want to get into, but, if you can answer the next question, I'll have a better idea of what I would be getting into.

How are the floor pans, doors allong the bottom, and the spare tire and trunk wells?

Would the car make it to Detroit MI?

Thanks,

Dave
