Super inexpensive running / driving 2.3-16v

1986 5spd manual with 215k miles. Salvage due to theft in 1995; parts stolen were all interior (with the exception of the dash); all seats, door panels, center gauge cluster, radio, center console, front fascia, left headlight assembly and wheels. Car is a CA car; I purchased it recently from my MB independent with the idea it would make a fun project / DE car. Car is 100%- the stolen pieces were replaced long ago before me. My indy knows the complete history and sold it to me after rebuilding the head and the previous owner needed the $ to pay the bill. The car is well used but is straight and runs and drives just fine. It has plenty of flaws most ugly of which is body rust on the vertical panel just under the trunk lid seal. The car has always lived up here near the beach so hence the rust in this drain area. The metal insert mount in the trunk spoiler is also rusted. There is no rust on the undercarriage, battery tray, window frames, sills, wells, etc. Other flaws include peeling clear coat on sunroof panel, various chips and nicks in paint, missing one small fairing piece on passenger side (ahead of lower wheel well), plenty of rock chips, worn out rear tires, stiff leather, cracked paint on rr spoiler, minor seam separation on front seats, some wood veneer separation just ahead of the shifter next to the speaker switch, shifter leather separation, non-op drivers window, I removed the hood-pad, and missing the MB Star on the front grill. However given all of its shortcomings, it still looks pretty good, and is not a balled up piece of junk that's been patched back up...which is of course, why I bought it even though it's a salvage. It currently has a failed fuel pump relay (and maybe OVP) which I have ordered this morning and will give the buyer. SLS levels out as well. I think it would make a fun car to thrash around in daily or for DE or the LeMons event; and it really wouldn't take too much $ to make it looks quite nice. I have plenty of pics of everything so you can get an accurate idea; just send me your email. I attached some to look at though. Price is $2100 or offer. Thanks, John 949 637 0707.

Thanks. However for anyone out there, I guess price is too high...how about $1800? Will trade too.
