When I first saw your posting, theironman, I thought it was very nicely done. However, I expected it to be outside the tastes of many on this forum and wondered how it would be received. We on Benzworld can be a chauvinistic and tough crowd--proven once again here.

Good luck with the sale or trade of your car. To my eye, it's a tastefully done example that looks well considered and executed.
lol thanks 300... i really appreciate the words of encouragement. since i love so many cars, i never really have an allegiance to once maker to develop such a fanaticism about it lol. but mercedes is in my tops, as is nissan, toyota, bmw.

i try to build every car tastefully, all are diff for a reason. just enjoy them for what they are. thanks again 300. K.

Good luck with the sale. I try to compare cars by what they sell for new, so the 5 series BMW is not on the same level as the CLS. I love Supras, and I have a few in my car club with similar mods. They would sell their supras for a little more. You should take the Supra to a few car shows and try to sell it. There would be more appreciation for your work in that environment. Cant wait to see you mod a CLS. BTW, we are still in a Bush economy

yea, i have done the car thing for a very long time, my car is worth much more than 38k even in a bush economy lol.

yeah, me personally i would never invest heaps of $$$ into taking a stock one and building it up for high hp. the price of building a car like my own can become astronomical if you are paying a shop to do it all. i did the majority of my own work besides a little wiring and tuning the AEM stand alone ecu. the prices of aftermarket parts on a supra eclipse most cars under 150k. as far as expense per item. you are talking about clutches that average 3k to 5k+! turbo kits from 5k to 20k... my titan fuel system with injectors, dual pumps, rail, fpr, and other amenities runs 3k... but if you are a die hard benz fanatic, you are gonna argue and post bs. (not u, but the haters)

i would agree they are fools. if you are going to buy it stock, keep it that way. just buy another supra thats already been built.

and i dont get where these guys get off. like my bmw 6 series got way more attention than any mercedes ive owned, not to say i like the 6 better, but people sure did with slight mods. my bmw 760 used to bring the pain down in south beach miami, a cls doesent even have the wheel wells to go past 20" comfortably. point is, i know my cars. i know the classes, values, and true prices of them. i didnt come here to argue, just to make a deal, if you are not interested in the deal, leave your hate at the house and STFU.

thanks dba, none of the above is addressed to you btw , but to the few who love to come on someone else fs thread and trash it. half of whom probably dont even own 1 car comparable to any one of my five lol.
