FS: 250,000km Grillle Badge

I sold my w201 a month ago and my 250,000km award for it didn't come in until after it was long gone. I will be getting another award for my C43 soon, so I will have an extra badge and I could use the money. It's in brand new condition, never put on a car. This is great if yours is missing/damaged/stolen, etc.

I'm asking $70-shipped anywhere in the U.S. Sorry, no international shipping.

Pictures available upon request. Thanks!

Edit: And I can't spell "grille" in the thread name....had an extra "L". Haha

I wonder if MB would replace a badge, say in the instance of an accident or theft? would be an interesting insurance claim if your grill was busted out and you asked them to make you whole.

I think that badge should go with the car. Give it to the new owner, extend the MB ownership tradition, and that $70 would buy you a friend for life.

Just my 2cents.

Agreed.

Besides, MB gives them out for free with certificate and all.

Well yeah, they're free the first time around.

Are you sure MB gives you a replacement for free? I heard these badges can fetch some good money if you sell them (that makes me think you can't get free replacements).

I agree that it should go with the car, but when the owner is a 17 year-old kid (who will probably wreck the car in a few months and has no appreciation for these kinds of cars ), it would be a waste to give it to him, in my humble opinion. But, if nobody here needs a badge, I guess I'll give it to him. I just want to offer it to anyone that truly appreciates these cars a chance to get a badge first.

$70 is a lot for a badge that you can still get from Mercedes for free... unless its the older style badge thats gold/blue. The newer ones don't look all that nice like they used to.

This is the best time to indoctrinate his young mind on the virtue and value of the car he got. Maybe he'll think twice before he drives it recklessly and wreck the car or hurt himself. Lead him to this board and maybe it would open some doors for him.

Did someone ever buy it? Can't believe someone would. And you should give it to the new owner. Don't be an ****.
