Post Mercedes-Benz shop for sale and equipped space for lease

Greetings, everyone.

Here is a possible opportunity for any MB techs out there looking to set up shop. There is an existing MB shop here in the Los Angeles area and the owner is looking retire and lease the space out to another mechanic since his alternate plans for the site were scuttled by the city authorities.

Since the shop has over 22 years of goodwill as an independent Mercedes specialist, perhaps someone might be interested in not only the leasehold and equipment, but also the "patient base" if you will.

The only drawback is owner no longer keeps regular hours nor actively accepts new customers, aside from "walk-ins" who need only simple work done to their cars. At that, existing customers (including me) are largely referred to the nearby dealership or one of several other local independents for big jobs. I basically consult with him for second opinions now.

Nevertheless, the shop has excellent visibility, prominent signage, and people know it's there. And it's got everything you need, as far as I know, so you can do your work.

If anyone is interested to know more or thinks they might know someone who could be interested, please PM me and I will put you in contact with the owner.

I can certainly take pictures when I stop by there again. I seem to recall that the service area is approximately 2500 square feet divided into three bays, with additional square footage for storage and a front office.

The lot I think is around 1/3 acre with covered awnings flanking the shop proper. It is fully gated.

Some pictures are attached. I spoke to the owner and the service bays comprise an area of approximately 1600' sq. with an additional parts storage room and a front office.

The front lot, including the area underneath the awnings, is approximately 7500' sq.

It is also very close to a major freeway exit, per the attached pictures.

If it was in Ohio, I might be interested. Good luck with the sale.

Yes, it is the one in Baldwin Park. If you or anyone else you know is interested, please PM me. Or stop by the shop if you are reasonably nearby.

I will be posting some parts that he has available for sale as well--including rebuilt heads for an M127 and an M130, as well as a used M120 shortblock and exhaust manifold.
