1993 600 SEC (S600 Coupe)
I am offering my best car to Benzworld members for only 10k since you all know exactly what this car is all about. I don't need to say much.
I am going to be moving back to Europe for a year and a half to work in the family business and I am already taking my G, so I need to part with my all time favorite car. Very sad, but I want to offer it you one of you guys, because I know you will take care of it better than others.
You know this car is one of 159 sold in US for 93. Re badged mid year from 600 SEC to S600.
I have owned this car since October 2003 and have put less than 12k miles on it.
One cool factoid is that it has been garaged every single day since it was new.
The first owner is an actor from SNL and a movie star.
The car comes with new floor mats, 2 car covers, the original books and all the service records since I bought it. I am hesitant to sell it to someone who doesn't know what they are buying because some guys just want a fast, flashy car and don't understand the finer points of this great car. All parts are easily available, and I have had it serviced from the same independent mechanic I have had since I was 16. He knows the trade school kids who work at the dealerships don't have a clue about this V12 engine, even though it is much simpler and naturally aspirated than the current V12's.
I drove it once to Vegas and after leaving Barstow and watching all the cars speed up I decided to see what this car was made of. It cruised effortlessly at 120 mph and was flawless at 140 mph, still getting pretty good highway mpg since it doesn't have to work as hard as the V8. But you guys know that.
I know how much more this car is worth, even more than the sedan, and the miles are truly low for a Mercedes. So I am happy to sell it to a true 140 fanatic like myself. It is not perfect, but is in fantastic shape for its age.
I am in Southern California, in Malibu, in the Los Angeles area. Email me at
and I will get back to you. Just be serious and not a test driver, 'cause I am super busy. Thanks for looking.
