I am reluctantly selling my 1992 Mercedes 300E (W124 body style) - gasoline (not diesel) engine. This car has only 63,700 miles (yes, that is about 3,000 per year) and is in immaculate condition inside and out. It runs and drives perfectly. The car is completely original and has been meticulously maintained by me and the previous owner (includes stamped service history from new) - all service completed by either the dealer or EAS (Mercedes specialist in Waltham, MA). Recent service includes new motor mounts and distributor, and a transmission fluid change.
The car has dual airbags, traction control, leather interior, power seats...everything you would expect in a luxury car. I will also include new factory floor mats and two sets of tires and rims - the original 15-inch rims with brand new snow tires mounted, and 16-inch newer Mercedes rims with summer tires mounted (about 70% tread remaining). I will also include some sales literature from Mercedes for 1992, which shows that this car sold for about $55,000 when new.
The only flaws in the car are some minor damage to lower front air dam and small chip in the grille (pictures available upon request). Also, the air conditioner needs a recharge, but has already been converted to modern coolant. Otherwise all electronics and systems work perfectly.
The W124 Mercedes were the last of the completely overengineered Mercedes and are known to run for 300,000+ miles. This is a car that can be driven daily for years to come.
My price is $6,950. Thanks for looking and please email firstname.lastname@example.org
or call Marc at 617-461-3024 with questions. I am located in Boston.
