Post FS: 1982 380 SEC

I'm new to the website. My Father-in-law has "outgrown" (age 94) his two Mercedes and I am tasked with selling both.
Looking for advice whether this is the best and only location to post them or are there multiple websites you might recommend.
One is rather rare, 1982 380 SEC and the other is common, 1999 ML 320.
I have yet to price them. Will use Kelley for the 1999, but can only find about 4 examples of the 1982 in the country. I'll probably start at $11,000 for the 1982. It is used once a month for a 3 hour trip.

Help please.

without photos mileage description dstails its tough to price the 380. i would say that to fetch 11,000 the car would ahve to be pristine, with low miles, books and service records. still a buyers market. if it is a euro it might help a bit. but in general people don't get too excited about the underpowered 380s
. as a comp there is a pretty nice example in southern california, two owners, 96K miles. lots of service records (incl timing chain replaced) seller has had it listed for several months for $6500 and it is still available

maybe you will do better

good luck with the sale. hope this helps

Thanks for the feedback. I assume "a euro" is a car made for the european market then brought here but I am guessing. Can you tell me where the southern California unit was advertized? I'm trying to figure out why I couldn't find it in my searches for comps.

You succeeded in lowering my expectations.

Its not worth selling the 380 if its in good condition. Its very much a buyers' market now and you'll get nothing for a GEN1 car (pre 1986), especially the thirsty, underpowered 380.

Its likely worth a lot more to you or your wife? then what you would get if you sold it,
