WTB - W126 alternator

Looking for alternator for gen2 (1986-1991) 560 series. I believe 420 alternator is the same too.

It is charging but i'll have to check the number in the daylight. I believe it should work if a 420 would. I'll get back with you in the morning on the Part number and a photo.

I think the mounting is different although I haven't looked at a GenII in awhile. Could you post a photo? I haven't pulled it off yet to see the number...Thanks!

Isn't there a certain period Saab 9000 higher output (115 A) Bosch alternator with the same mounting and connectors?

Horst - that's what I've been reading. I actually found a SAAB indy close by and will take my alternator in to see if he has any around I can compare. Its the AL129X Bosch alternator. I have read it being done in gen1 126's, but not gen2's.

According to Greg aka kodiakj2 its the 115 amp Bosch alternator model # AL 129x from the 89-92 Saab 9000.
Alternatively, the 115 amp alternator from a '98-'99 Mercedes E300 might work?
Better make sure though.
Cheers
