I am a member of MBCA. I have had the vehicle for the past 5 years. Since my son is an employee of the local MB dealer, meticulous maintenance is always addressed in a timely manner (NEVER Pep Boys, Jiffy Lube, or local independent ... and never aftermarket parts). The following big ticket items have been handled under MB warranty:
- Replace intrument cluster (typical for W210 body, when pixel fails over time)
- Replace engine wiring harness
- Replace rear shocks
I always use MB brake pads & rotors (even state inspection and emissions are performed by MB dealer). The front pads & rotors were replaced 6,000 miles ago (I have to check on the rears). Carpeted mats were removed (still have them), and I have always used MB all weather floor mats. Nice OEM wheels, with Michelins.
A telephone walk-around of the vehicle can be arranged with the local MB dealer (no charge). The service advisor will also have the ability to review the entire service history with you, if desired (no charge). I can arrange to have a (pre-purchase) comprehensive inspection of the vehicle if desired (I will pay for this inspection, if performed at local MB dealer). There is another local MB dealer - so you can also arrange a second review, inspection (whatever you desire).
My wife an I have been driving MB's since 1977. We currently own 6 MB's, including:
2006 C230 Sport (6 speed), 2003 S500V4 4matic Sport, 1995 C220, 1991 300CE Coupe, 1989 300E.
If this vehicle is of potential interest, I can send more exterior & interior pics. Shoot me a PM for e-mail address.
Garage kept and clean, black with gray interior, 127,500 miles, serviced properly by local independent benz certified mechanic, has 17" wheels off a newer (2000 or so) E320, this is now an extra car that I don't need, Philadelphia, PA area (Montgomery County). I can email pictures. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org if interested. Price is $4,800

Looking for a well taken care of example that does not have an inflated price.
i am looking for one that is not trashed, or one that says "Pristine inside", and I open the pics and the leather is ripped or dirty.
New England area preferred.
Here is one in the Boston area, it was posted just before the first snows and didn't sell, so the owner put it in storage for the winter.. I have a link to his pictures, but since it appears the moderators are clamping down on external links, (I don't get that), I won't post it here. It's a really nice looking car, if your near boston you show check it out.. the owners email is below, contact him and he'll send you his link. I did contact him in January, and he still had it stored...

If I hadn't been set on a V8 I would have driven up to Boston just to look at it, in the pictures it appears to be just out of the showroom..
Oh, okay ... well then ... I have a 1989 300E (W124) ... not quite as nice as my E320, but has the same maintenance routine (yes, still using MB brakes & rotors, MB LOF, MB state inspection, etc).
Black Pearl, Grey MB Tex, new MB head gasket, new MB front suspension, Sony remote control stereo/CD & trunk mounted CD changer,16" W210 wheels, nice Michelins, 20% rear tint, beautiful Black/Burgundy oriental carpet inserts, new MB grey floor mats, 136,000 miles, $4,495.
Maintained by same local MB shop (since 1992). Will make same arrangements for inspection & delivery. Window regulators & window switches replaced, instrument cluster & speedo rebuilt, newer MB battery.
If you're spending under $5K on a W210, I'd expect you'll be spending another $5K-$10 in maintenance and repairs to get it up to snuff.
I have a black '94 E420 with 168K that was fully serviced last fall when I planned to sell it but other things got in the way and it has been just sitting over the winter since then. I should have it ready in a month or so and will be asking in the mid $4's.
