Thanks for the info alydon. Next time read and look at the posts instead of trying to be funny, a smart ass, or both. voyeger posted two pictures one being a Becker Europa radio and the other a Becker Mexico radio. If you look closely you will see the Mexico is a cassette radio. Hard to believe the Mexico was installed in cars as early as the 50's since cassettes weren't mass produced until 1964. Hmmmmm.

Pics After Testing

I have about 20 radios pulled from Benz's from the 60's to the 90's and as soon as I can test them I will send you some pictures of the working radios. Maybe next week.... I am trying to find out the value of the radios from the Fintails.. Jim

But they did make radio's, some even named Mexico's, w/o cassette's. The earliest I know of is from 1956. Maybe they made them earlier.

It is better to be specific rather than generic when looking for old car parts.

...for that matter, why would you even WANT a Mexico? Are you really going to play cassettes? Unless you are really into cassettes, not having the preset station buttons would be quite a disadvantage. Maybe consider a Grand Prix or a Europa so you get the radio buttons???
