FS: 8 hole rims, '90s C or S class?

I have a set of four 16" factory 8-hole rims. I'm assuming they're off a mid-90s C or S class. Mostly I'm just posting here to see if there's any interest, I figure $150 per rim or $450 for the set is fair, but it's negotiable. I'm also posting as a question... I'm not very familiar with these, any ideas as to what they'll fit? I'll post some pictures if needed, I just need to clean the dust off 'em.

These are located in Pittsburgh, PA.

#1 - If it were me, I wouldn't take pictures of items for sale unless they were cleaned up, it's really worth the wait for everyone, and it leaves a bad impression of how you maintain your belongings, even if it's only a perception...

#2 - Post the true sizes, look on the back of the wheels, the numbers are cast into the wheel. need three numbers, width, diameter & offset

it should look similar to this... 7J x 16H2 ET37 (ET37 means the offset is 37mm)

The offset and width are important to calculate compatability on other models

The examples you give(mid-90's C or S) isn't exact enough and as a matter of fact, according to published charts, although the wheels from these two cars may look the same , they are actually different sizes.

The wheel size number I wrote above is for a W202 95 - 2000, for a W140 the only size for a 16 inch wheel listed in the chart is 7.5J x 16H2 ET51.

That's a very big difference, so post back what is on the back of your wheels, then there is no mistake... I bet what you find is different than either of these numbers... Once you post the true sizes, everyone will be able to say what they will fit on.

Look at this chart here....

1. I agree about cleaning them, but it's too cold to clean them off like I want to right now. I figured anybody who really needed these wheels would overlook a little dirt.

2. I haven't been able to find the numbers stamped in the wheels, I looked before. The only thing I find stamped on the backs is the capital letter "D". Where should I be looking?

Once you clean them up, you'll see the numbers.

Does the buyer get any free garbage with those or are they considered garbage? Those pictures are horrible to use in an ad.

Those picture implies they had been abused, and would NOT help you sell.

Someone needs 'em, they'll buy them. the picture implies they've been in a barn. not sure that counts as "abused"

Just take some time to clean them and then consider a better background for the photos. The only thing missing in your picture is a dead hooker in the background. Sure someone needs them but who wants them based on the pictures?

Someone might need wheels, but they don't even know what size you are selling (and neither do you).
