not perfect can mean a lot of things from needs tires, motor mounts, fan clutch, brakes, has oil leak, a few paint chips, isn't running, ad nauseum.......

how would your ride do on a ppi at the dealer??

you make it sound like your scraping to put the deal for the 540 together but your sig shows a 2008 mb.

i 1st jumped on your bus when "non mb" folks had told you the pano was a $10k item and the $1500 you wanted was essentially a gift from heaven.

your biggest blunder pal was selling the pano roof separately, as many folks would have jumped at a ride with a pano roof for $7500 and you'd be on your way to the 540, which if you haven't heard, are all over.

fwiw:
i could advertise my ride as "needs nothing" and needs nothing, really does mean needs nothing.

If you're interested, contact the seller. He has a load of pictures and hides nothing. it's not perfect but the price reflects that. if you're in the market, do your home work. give the guy a break.

Every mile a joy!

If it were around Motown, I'd certainly be interested in taking a look. Any service history or maint. receipts? If you dumped over $10K into the car, I might have grabbed some history from the PO.

Looks nice, regardless. Good luck with the sale!

Ears,

I also had difficulty understanding this type of behavior until I read the Wikipedia entry entitled "Troll (Internet)". It helped me understand this behavior and how to deal with it.

Some excerpts from the Wikipedia entry:

"In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response[1] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[2]"

"The concern troll posts in web forums devoted to its declared point of view and attempts to sway the group's actions or opinions while claiming to share their goals, but with professed "concerns". The goal is to sow fear, uncertainty and doubt within the group.[11]"

"Experienced participants in online forums know that the most effective way to discourage a troll is usually to ignore him or her, because responding tends to encourage trolls to continue disruptive posts — hence the often-seen warning: "Please do not feed the trolls"."

I went for the troll - hook, line, and sinker!!

I guess the bottom line is: "Don't feed the trolls!"
