What state, and how does the car drive ?
The SEC's are a lot of fun to drive, and the forum board below has a lot of information.
Your first issue has to do with what state you are buying the car in, as to waht will be required on safety and smog issues to get the car registered and tagged.
At that price, if it is a acceptable driver for you, then you are asking are you waking into any major immediate issues, or if you will be able to fix and improve the car as you go along fixing the minor issues.
You have not mentioned how the car drives, which is the key end game issue.
Aslo you have not mentioned is the air con and heat is working or not.
Check the underside underside has any evidence of fluid leaks engine, tranny, and rear end.
The existing sunroof is a manageable issue.
On the "clunking". First check the transmission fluid level (before you buy the car). Depending on where that clunk is coming from, it may not be the tranny at all, it could be a won out flex disc, or it could be engine mounts, both manageable.
Cover your basics, check fluid and check leaks, recheck the major systems again, and you could have a enjoyable driving car.
Good luck !
