FS 560SEC

hi guys just put my 560sec on ebay and I do not know if it is my inexperience but the offers I"m receiving are no way near what this vehicle is worth. I know a little about cars and this car is a garage queen that does not have one dent on it, no rust at all perfectly mechanically only 84k for a 20+yr old car and I would like your feedback on why the offers are so low. I have been seeing cars with half this mileage and no where near this condition going for $25-30 k thankyou.

No SEC is going for 25-30K unless its a low mileage, true documented AMG or widebody. Unfortunately these cars aren't worth much anymore, garage queen or not.

Yeah, most people consider the SECs just used cars. "going for" and "asking" are two different things. I see a lot of classifieds for W126 cars where the seller is asking huge money... I say $12 - $13,000 is huge money and almost unattainable. $4000 - $7000 is all the money in most cases.

For $25-30K, I can search & buy a C126, a C124, and a C123... all 3 in very nice condition in & out and still have some spare $.

Maybe if it was SEC Patrick Swayze drove in Roadhouse and it was keep mint and only because he just passed away.

This is from NADA and they inflated thier prices IMO.

And even then in this economy some of those ture AMG widebody cars are having a hard time finding a buyer. When you are spending 25-30 grand for a car, espeically if it is going to be a daily driver, there are a lot of choices out there. You can even pick up a 2-3 year old Benz that is still under warranty.

I agree, when you start pushing the cost envelope like this, comparisomes of what you can get for the same money come to mind.

A very low milage, showrun condition 500E would be one thing that makes more sence.

OR

How about a 2003-04 SL with low milage?

Or a 2005-6 S Class
