FS: 1968 Mercedes Benz W110 230

1968 Mercedes Benz W110 chassis 230, this is the final production run of the vintage fintail "heckflosse" style car which ceased production in Feb. 1968. This car has an inline 6 cylinder gas engine with dual Zenith carbs and 4 speed automatic transmission. Power steering and vacuum assisted brakes with discs in the front and drums in the rear. Aftermarket AC unit needs a fan belt pulley and coolant. It has been my daily driver for 6 years and I'm still driving it although the engine compression is a bit low, possibly due to worn rings. Need to sell to make room in my garage. Asking $2900 obo. Car located in Lynnwood, WA.

Thanks. I really hope this car can go to a good home. I no longer have the time or space for it and will consider any reasonable offer.

If that car was in the south instead of the upper NW it would be at my house. Beautiful car

If I had a garage instead of a carport; I would have bought this car already. But it deserves to be taken care of properly, and with respect. Lord, is this thing a beauty.

Sadly all the replies I get are people telling me why they are NOT buying my car I know its a niche market but it really is surprising how hard it is to sell one of these cars right now.

So how low are the compression numbers? Is it smoking any?

The compression numbers I just got with engine warm for cylinders 1-6 were 118, 105, 108, 70, 102, 118. I squirted some oil in #4 and it jumped up to 98 which is why I suspect worn rings are the culprit. The engine is still running and drivable with these numbers and there is no smoke. I mentioned the compression was a bit low because I want to be totally upfront about the state of the car and want it to go to someone who knows what they're getting into.
