1979 300GD, DIESEL G-Wagon/ WOLF PROTOTYPE 9 Seater

Due to some financial problems I have to part with my beloved 300GD.
It is restored in has technical inspection.
MERCEDES “WOLF” Prototype (Mercedes G-Wagon)
This is the very rare 4-door, long wheelbase version which was designed to transport officers and generals off road (Generalswagen). However due to standardization requirement this 4-door version was not integrated into the army inventory. Therefore, it is a unique piece of automotive/military history. This vehicle was completely restored from 1999 till 2000 with more than 15.000 DM in parts invested!
Many new parts, front brake disks, caliper, rear brake drums and wheel brake cylinders, muffler, differential locks, drive shafts - front and rear, 4x4 or 2WD with reduction gear and overdrive. The work was done at a Mercedes shop according to Mercedes handbook and standards!
Engine: strong 5 cylinder Mercedes Diesel OM 617 with new injector nozzles, NO electronics that can break!!!
24 volt electric system with a converter for a 12Volt Blaupunkt Radio or to charge your cell phone. Color RAL 6014 gelbolive
New 2 piece canvas top. One piece goes over the front seats and the second piece covers the cargo area. Trailer hook, MICHELIN tires 7,50 R16 treat 90%, foldable windshield. 9 seater, front seats and rear bench leather, auxiliary fuel tank, power steering, tropical radiator, heavy duty truck clutch and much more.

This 4x4 Jeep is the prototype of the Mercedes Wolf which was adapted by the German Army and NATO, who used them in the Balkans and Afghanistan. This particular car is from the Bundeswehr testing ground ( the equivalent to the US Aberdeen Proving Ground) and was used to test the vehicle performance.
This Mercedes was featured in the “Gelaendewagen + Freizeit” Magazin Heft 3, August 2000.
Don't miss this opportunity to buy a piece of military/automotive history!
Car has a clean German title
The vehicle is located in Cologne-Germany (110 miles from Franfurt) and can be shipped worldwide.
