ML55 OEM trailer hitch and harness wanted

I would rather use the factory class 3 hitch on my 2001 ML55 than aftermarket. If anyone can locate a new OEM kit or a perfect used one drop me a line.

I have a used one with wiring, in good condition. I don't mean to be a dick but I will only sell it for $500, because I am still debating if I want to install it on my ML!

I was told that the part # for the hitch kit for the ml55 is different from the 320 probably due to the dual exhaust and the interior spare on the ml55. Give me a call at home at 631 329-5419 Thanks, Bob K.

I have searched the internet for days trying to get the proper wiring harness for my 04 ML500
This morning I think I was successful. I had already ordered the hitch from E-Trailers.com. I wish I didn’t, now that I can order the whole kit for less that the parts bought separate

autopartspeople.com have the following part
Ml55 Trailer Hitch Kit for your '04 Mercedes M-Class: includes wiring harness
List Price: $314.00 | Your Price $266.90

autopartspeople.com
Part numbers for wiring if you already ordered a hitch from somewhere else

Q-6-54-0014 PCB Assembly $25.03
Q-6-54-0015 outside Pollak Plug $18.48

Unhappy 2001 ML55 Trailer Hitch Class 3

Just spoke to the service rep at autopartspeople.com and was told that the kit is no longer available for my 2001 ML55. He said it may be available in the future. If anybody has a perfect used OEM hitch kit setup for approx. $300 complete call me 631 329-5419. Thanks for the lead

I finally got around to installing the hitch, It wasn’t that bad.
I unscrewed the 4 screws that hold the bumper cover on.
I bolted the hitch to the frame and installed the 2 brackets to strengthen the bumper.
The tricky part was the electric. I got a 5 wire to 4 wire part at auto zone with some snap on connectors You need this because of the blinker.
I put a 20 amp fust in the fuse box, I think it was #20, check the cover it tells you which
# for the trailer hitch. I made the connections and everything worked out.
Total time about 1 hr, Cost $186.95 for hitch
part # 75087 Class III Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver

Plus the electric parts cost about $30
