it come in a matte finish. on the heat factor.... i saw a guy once put the fabric on the rear bumper diffuser near the exhaust on a e39 m5, and no problem..
but inside the engine compartment, i think it might be a little too much heat.
so i wouldn't suggest it. fabric is very thin so you just need a few fresh blades
to get in the bends.. make sure is 3m #77 or higher spray adhesive and prep clean. any dents or pit spot must be fill in with bondo and sand and prep before u apply the fabric or else... it wont be smooth, the way you want it.
