Benzworld Folks -
I recently purchased this car, but need the money for other projects. My loss, your gain, and all that.
It's a 1980 280E Euro with 155K kilometers
, anthracite with black leather. VIN # 12303312062704 (does come up on the Russian VIN site).
The car runs out very well, no offensive odors, no massive leaks. It has AC but I do not know if it just needs a charge or much more. Temperature is good, shifts are firm.
The interior is in remarkably good condition - it is black leather (NOT Tex), is equipped with front heated seats, fire extinguisher, and rear headrests. There is one crack of note on the dash, and a small crack in the windshield out of the line of sight. Smells good - not a smoker car. Still has the German first aid kit, trunk mat, and the trunklid triangle. The vacuum power locks work perfectly, as do the blower motor and all the various vent flap adjustments. Sunroof works great as well.
On the outside, the car and its trim are remarkably straight - of particular note are the early-style Euro bumpers which are near perfect - including the nozzles for the headlight washer/wipers. As expected, there is some typical W123 rust, but not daunting in my book. The headlights are original non-adjustables, but with the 5w parking bulbs in them and no cracks in the lenses. Corner lights and rear lights are original Euro, not US.
Car comes with 2 rubber-head keys - 1 master, 1 round head, as well as the original owner's manual. It also has a period Blaupunkt am/fm radio and speakers that are in good working order, as is the power antenna. The interior condition certainly supports the low mileage, as does the tightness of the various controls, switches, lights, etc. The outside shows some age, but could be very nicely spruced-up at relatively low cost.

I just brought the car from Chula Vista, CA to Fairfax, VA (22033) where it is living in my garage with occasional jaunts.
I am looking to recover what I have in the car, which is $2850. Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for looking!!
