just in my experience (which is a little limited cuz im still young) but i think japanese cars will last longer than german cars in my book.
i didnt really look into old benzes so i dont know how much it is to repair them and such. and if you have a five figure limit, then yeah by all means you have enough cash to get the repairs.
my buddy's mr2. its a 91 i think. he bought it for 1,800. its 250k. still going strong. haha we race once and awhile. and honestly, even if he beats the shit out of that car, it keeps coming back.
and i mean if its rep your looking for in UI-UC, i guess a benz is good. but nothing is wrong with an econo car. lol gas is a bitch, especially if your in college and constantly driving around.
and honestly if your gonna be driving it around and stuff. what are you gonna do if your benz breaks down in front of everyone. i mean japanese cars can do that too. but i still think they tend to be more reliable. i mean look at civics being sold. they are still sold at liek 200K mi. like wtf.
you think thatd shit break by now right.
mmm i mean its your car. so its your choice. if you want a benz. go for it.
no one else should try to persuade you or anything. oh and btw. if your thinking that old benzes last a long time. its probably because there were a lot of repairs done to it already. and probably done by a professional or at least a more skilled person working on cars.
since your starting out it might be a little rough in the beginnnig.
and your right. 1,800 in a benz or a japanese car, its still not gonna be perfect. take in consideration, the repairs, parts, labor, hours that your gonna spend working on your car. cuz you wanna be able to drive it more than you have to repair it.
so UNLESS your dying to have that benz and IF you really think that japanese cars have bad face value, then i guess go for it.
btw. initial d. lol everyone likes that shit. so japanese cars are still popular even from the 80s. haha.
