Post fs: parting out 1995 s600

I have a 1995 s600 W140 CHASSIS that is in perfect shape, the problem is the engine was overheated by a friend when a heater hose let loose. The v12 motor has a warped head and the was told that that cyclinder bank also has a piston that is bad.

vehicle vin# is wdbga57e5sa201138 95 s600 it was purchased in Canada. production date 4/29/1994 interior code is 561 and paint code is 199

So I am willing to part out the car.

I will post pictures soon. This is the first time I have posted on here.

Thanks
Greg

Bummer about the car... I'm sure she was a beauty! Any chance it has a wood steering wheel? I'd like to get my hands on one... Let me know! I'm also looking forward to the pics...

I can't imagine your reaction when you found out a "friend" allowed your V12 to overheat!

What was it he/she, missed along the way, the temp gauge pinned, the funny smoke coming off the engine, or trailing the car, or was it funny noises that finally won the day...???

Geez, sorry to see something as unnecessary as this happen to anyone, especially a V-12 Benz, I hope your friend took some responsibility..

I hope others reading your post take note. To see a fine old car like this get parted out because of a heater hose is... well you get the point

I have a 30 year old, 34 ft Twin inboard (350 Merc's), Silveton Flybridge cruiser which I take on fairly long trips. I change all the hoses and belts every 3 years without fail. Overkill?, probably, but I can say that I have never been stranded, broke down, or ruined an engine because of a failed hose or belt..

Hmm wonder what a pair of V-12's would do for the old Silverton??...

Anyway, hope your able to replace your benz with another nice one..

I see a new post above where this "guy" wants to swap a Benz for a golf vacation at Pebble Beach, and I think his wife may be a part of the bargin...

Just a thought..

Good Luck

I'd be interested in the signal markers, floor matts, and central lock pump. PM me with prices.
