Free Inspections for Southern California Owners

What's not mentioned in that Free Gas for Mercedes Owners link is that Mercedes in the Southern California region is offering free Multi-Point Inspections for Mercedes Owners.

Mercedes-Benz Southern California Dealer Service Experience

What I really found useful is there is an Auto Intelligence page with information on when to change the fluids, belts and battery. I hate to admit but I'm one of those people that need a professional to tell me when to rotate my tires, add coolant and have my brake pad changed.

There is NO free lunch. I'll bet the free inspection WILL turn up a few hundred dollars worth of work needed by your car.
Since you need them to tell you what to do, you are EXACTLY the customer they are looking for, so everybody is happy.

Why do you need a professional to tell you those things? It is in your owners manual and service booklet.

I guess he's a low watt bulb?

I'd go just for the hell of it, but i'm not in the mood to be attacked by salespeople trying to get me to trade in my ride for some overpriced cars when i can get it half the price for a two year old one...

The gentleman in the video production is about the sharpest tack in any box. I know him personally and he is definitely the MB answer man. If he says it's bad then just write a check.

Since you know the gentleman personally and I don't, I am not going to second guess what you said. So I will assume he knows his stuff and good at it too.
But I still don't believe there is free lunch from MB Dealers (Midas offer free life time replacement too, but we all know it is not really free or they will be out of business).

Your right, there is no free lunch. They are hoping to get some business going without asking for a stimulus package from the gov. The fact is that if they look at your car and see something they will let you know, it's up to you to decide as to repair it or not. My point is the individual knows the product, its all he has done for his entire life. The clown at midas installs mufflers for a living, Not exactly the same point of referance. Would you take your kids to a Vet for medical help? Its your car and your money, what else can I say?
