1: The 20 line description page without mentioning mileage, then "call for more information."
2: And as some else mentioned, the rat car described as very good or excellent just to get you to show up w cash.
3: Any of you have the inner city experience where you show up w cash and the seller tries to brow beat / threaten you for wasting his time, "it's a great car" while its a toilet? I am 6'4" 250 and was threatened last year while looking at a 400e. I felt like that ikea commercial: "START THE CAR! START THE CAR!" as I snuck away while he was on the phone.
4: ANY car salesman avoiding mentioning that he is a car reseller. (Wife takes call, car is at house when you go, but search craigslist and the guy's phone number is all over the place.)
BUT: ANOTHER THREAD IS CALLED FOR: WHAT DO YOU LIKE WHEN YOU SEE IT:
-Mercedes spelled wrong, any common key searchword, spelled wrong (reduces shoppers)
-craigslist ad w low price, within driving distance, within 24 hours of posting (seller w out a clue)
-garage kept / all records
-estate forced sale (granfolks -tend- to drive easy and get the service done)
-minimum 10 pictures
-hq digital pics, bought a '72 El Do from across country a few years back and used digital pics to scan every inch of the car
