For Sale 1991 Mercedes 300CE

Hello--

Here is the info about the 1991 Mercedes 300CE. Mileage 138,326

She runs rough and will not pass inspection. Great part Car, or project car! The interior is beige and in good condition. The car was rear-ended about two years ago. It has a crushed back bumper and a rebuilt/restored title. I have been driving the car without any problems until recently when it wouldn't pass inspection. Now, a mechanic has told me the fuel distributor is leaking into the intake and flooding the engine. Because of this, the car tends to stall when it idles at a light. Because of this, I think it will probably need to be towed to your location. It has new brakes and a fairly new battery. Also, it also leaks oil from the front end.

The car still has many nice parts. I am firm at $500.00. Please email me at ParisGerrard@mac.com if you are interested!

Thanks,

Paris

Wow. To me, crushed does not even begin to define how badly that car must have been hit in the rear. (from the one picture you provided) Passengers were all okay I presume? Anyway, good car for parts. Anything other then a parts car wouldn't be too good safety wise. Structural integrity is in question for me. Rebuilt or not, I don't know if that car is capable of taking on another hit like it must have.

Good Luck with the sale! If you were closer to Chicago I probably would have picked up the car.

Actually, you'd be suprised how minor an impact it takes to crumple up these cars. They're designed to fold in and absorb the energy just like that.

Well that's the problem. Depending on the hit, it could have resulted in some sort of frame damage, be it minor or major. I wonder if the car had new quarter panels welded in or if it was on a laser as a result of the impact. It looks to me like the panels were just stretched, beat out and then bondo drowned. It just looks to me like the whole right side is sagging from the wheel back.

Either way, for $500 that's still a pretty good parts car.

Do you still have this car? I want the rear differential. Will take whole car if need be. But only if it's a non ASR car (no traction control).
