Smile FS: 1972 Mercedes - Benz 250 Sedan

This car has been a project of mine; much work has been done since I purchased it. Prior to me buying the car, it had been stored for a number of years. An inspection revealed that the car was in good shape overall, but the time while it was abandoned in storage created some minor issues that needed to be addressed.

This is a 54000 original mile, 250 sedan, automatic, A/C, six cylinder.

Interior-seats have no tears and are in good condition as are door panels, instrument panel is complete but center vent plastic cover needs replaced, gas gauge doesn't work and drivers window needs small part to roll up correctly. Blower fans work and heater works. AC will work if recharged and belt installed. CD radio (after market) is present but isn't hooked up.

Mechanical- Engine starts and runs without overheating. Twin Zenith carbs have new gaskets, newer fuel cutoff switch. Final timing and carburetor tuning will help to make run smoother (runs good but idle is a little high). Just installed new Facet electric fuel pump which works much better than original mechanical fuel pump. Suggest replacing neutral safety cutoff switch on transmission-sometimes have to move from park to neutral to engage starter. Switch is available on ebay for cheap. Car usually starts fine if used regularly. New rear brake caliper installed. Brake shoes are good. Rest of braking system is complete and operates.

Exterior body-Everything is original including the paint. Some small primer spots need to be matched to gray color and body only has one rust spot bottom of drivers fender. Rest of car is rust free. Tires are a little dry wouldn't recommend driving long distances. Comes with extra parts like the original manual, Haynes repair manual are in sale. Body is straight with no accidents. Overall good car needs some work with low mileage.

Selling for $2000 obo.
