If you buy a cluster, the cluster will show the miles from the donor car.
In general the cluster replacement is fairly straightforward DIY, or very EZ for a indie MB shop. There are a couple of "cluster hooks" out there that make the pop-out easier. Best to do when the interior is warmed up - meaning not to do this on a cold-cold day.
There is a repair service, do a google, I believe out of the Carlolina's that has a good reputation for quality work. Repairing the original cluster means you will be down for a few days, but when you get your cluster back you will be showing the correct original mileage.
Reseeting the mileage on a cluster is a matter of both having the correct diagnostic/programming, which is beyond most common Star units. Finding soemone who can reset a MB odometer is like pulling hen's teeth.
Good luck !
