Try craigslist, plenty of excellent used winter tires for sale at excellent prices, just invest in a tire measuring devise, easy to buy at Canadian Tire. A new tire measures in at 12/32nd, any tire measuring 8/32 + of even thread wear will be good.

Last thing when buying used tires, check the DOT code on the inside wall of the tire, the last 2 digits of the code denote the year when the tire was manufactured, don't buy any used tires older than 4 years from date of manufacture.

Plenty of people change their cars and are selling really good used winter tires. I recently sold a set of 17" that I used on my BMW for 3 winters and they still had 10/32
of even thread left.

Try Kijji also. I find they are better than craiglist in Canada.

If you're looking to buy new try MBFanatics.org . It's a kinda crappy canadian site and go to the commercial retail forum and look for a guy called Supershyguy. He sells tires and his prices are usually pretty good especially if you're in the GTA region. I didn't see an ad for winter tires but shoot him an email. He's pretty good about getting back to you.

Good luck. Just had our first dump of snow in London. I'm going to have to go and get my winters on in the next few weeks before the real stuff comes and stays.
