Understand the folks are not trying to be hard on you, but most of the folks here that are interested in 124 cars know them and the market inside and out. We know where the deals are, know where the problems are. We also know that there are always 60K miles cars popping up on these boards and other places. I just inspected one with 23K very well documented, dealer serviced miles on it three months ago. It went for $14,700.
So, look at the market [I am seeing 18 showing right now with varying mileage], look at the prices and be realistic. Most folks find that, while you can get a bit of your money back on things done to the car, for the most part, if work was done to the car to bring it to normal spec, that is just considered maintenance and expected. It becomes a "well taken care of used car".
I think they are great cars, yours presents well [though I agree it needs detailed and rephotographed prior to trying to sell it on somewhere like ebay] and you should get high end of the current market value of the car. But that is about all.
Being smart is knowing the difference, in a sticky situation between a well delivered anecdote and a well delivered antidote - bear.
