FS: Low Miles 1982 300D- excellent shape!!
This is the classic 300D sedan in excellent shape.
No this doesn't have 200+K miles on it.
This is a beautiful, practical, Mercedes turbodiesel sedan with just over 100k miles, running flawlessly.
All power options, working perfectly: power sunroof, power locks, power windows, power antennae.
Transmission is crisp and fresh.
Cold AC in automatic climate control system.
Of course it doesn't use engine oil or drip all over the place.
Overall, this is the legendary 123 chassis and cast iron engine that just purrs along and sips fuel.
Wanting to run Biodiesel? All fuel hoses have been converted to Viton.
Wanting to put in a veggie oil (SVO or WVO) conversion? You already know that the 5 cyl mercedes engine from this era is the best runner on oil and delivers great mileage. And with only 103k miles, this one will be worth the investment.
This is a beautiful, low miles car that will run and start in any weather (has block heater).
A few minor imperfections: 1 inch rip in 1 seat bottom, crack in dash, few small rust spots in unobtrusive places, cruise control not working (never tried to fix it).
This car would go for $12-15k if it weren't for the above imperfections, given its low miles and overall excellent shape.
This is a great deal on a well maintained car. We are the second owner and the first was an old doctor that drove it 2 miles to work for 25 years. We bought it and went over it mechanically and have fixed anything that needed it (like replaced brake cylinders, rotors, 5 glow plugs, new CD player with iPod hookup, new Michelins 10k ago w/ 80k warranty, and converted it to run biodiesel and r134 AC -non freon). We have run Bluesun B100 for about 8 months a year, and B50 or more in all but the very coldest of the remaining weeks. We have loved it and roadtripped to Telluride and to Northern Idaho in it without a second thought.
If you have tried to find one of these cars with less than 200k miles (never mind less than 150k), you know how rare this car is. And if you have had to replace the transmission ($$$$) on one of those 250k cars, you know how valuable it is to have a low miles car like this.
Car is in Boulder, CO.
Come see for yourself.
Hard to let it go, but know that it will go to a good home.

Have more pics if you would like.
