::For Sale:: 1984 W126 M-B 280SE
I'm selling my blue ’84 280SE (four door) for two reasons. It doesn't run and I simply don't have the time or funds at this point in time to give it the major TLC it needs. The car is a solid example except for the engine. For someone who wants to rebuild a rare-in-the-US M110 straight six motor, this car is for you. PM or respond to this thread with any questions. I'm posting pics soon (the car is located in Elizaville, NY/120miles north of New York City or 30 miles south of Albany)
—I had my mechanic do a compression check: it runs on a little more than half of its six cylinders. The M110 motor is strong, just needs valves and work.
—Shocks and struts need replacing (at very least, just struts)
—Dash lights and odometer don't work (stopped at ~160k). I've taken the cluster out to fix it, no avail.
—Nearly NO rust, solid body and chassis.
—Dual heated seats work, all windows work, sunroof works.
—White/whitish-tan leather interior is in fair condition for its age, one rip on drivers side.
—Speakers work, CD deck in included
—Tires have decent amount of tread
1973 280 (RIP)
1984 280SE.... on the road!
