LOOKING FOR: 80's aftermarket 15-16" rims

im mainly looking for rims for my 81' 280CE that are in poor-decent condition, but useable. i seem to have a bit of change left over after buying all my college books and auto tool set. since i am getting the lowering springs in the group buy here, i cannot be outdone by every other member, since im still riding on alloys.

i know this is a shot in the dark, but its a shot. i dont want 190E rims, and i dont want steelies. 15" deep dish bundts will be considered. (preferably located in new england.)

if anyone has newer set of MB rims <17" i would also consider them for the right offer.

thanks for your time
-viper

wheels

try googling wheel collision center in bath pennsylvania.

they sell refinished oem wheels at reasonable prices. like new silver painted ones will run you about 4-600 ones a set, i'd guess

I have a very nice set of 16" Centra 31's, ET23, with nearly new tires for $500. The other stuff I have is AMG in 15" and 17", so they are much more money.

Here are pics. Centra 31's and AMG Penta 15" that need refinishing. I forget the offset of the Pentas, but it's low, maybe 16 or even less, so perfect for an aggressive stance.

Two of them have pothole bends. I would say the Pentas require refinishing, with truing them to remove any bends being done at the same time (my refinisher trues and refinishes as one process).

You probably could drive on them, but I would recommend against it, and I would not drive on them myself until I had them done.

That's why I say they require refinishing....it's more like a "must-do", not a "nice to do".
