For Sale: 1985 300D Turbo in Atlanta

4-door sedan
Anthracite (metallic) gray exterior
palomino interior
264K on 5 cylinder inline mechanically operated fuel injection pump

$5000 or best offer.
Serious inquires only.

• Good condition both mechanically and body straight
• No rust, good paint job, chrome details, minor paint chips
• glass in good condition; will need new seals for windows in near future no leaks though
• Rear windows need new regulator motors (left rear works OK, right rear does not)
• Interior seats in good shape
• Sunroof works very well (huge)
• A/C not converted and needs new compressor
• Heat works well and blower fan recently cleaned
• Third owner- previous owners were an older couple from NC, first owner from NJ moved to NC
• (recently moved to Atlanta from Durham, NC; now moving to Portland OR; rather not transport across country)

I have put a number of hours and money into replacing parts and adjustments to the Benz:

• All oil changes and filter done with 15W-40 heavy duty diesel (Delo oil)
• Fuel filters, including pre-filter, main filter replaced atleast every 15K; I also took out the fuel tank and cleaned and replaced the tank screen.
• Purged frequently with Italian tune-ups
• Every year I had the values adjusted prior to cold winter temps
• Replaced air filters as needed
• Replaced water pump (bypassed aux heater pump as it was useless)
• Replaced thermostat
• Replaced kickdown switch, A/C relay, glow plug relay
• had the entire front end suspension replaced ($2,000) – ball joints (upper/lower), castor bearings, control arms, tie rods, etc
• New Bilstein regular duty front shocks (rear shocks still OK)
• New caliper on front left brake (new pads)
• Recent fuel hoses
• New primer pump (original style – better for biodiesel)
• Emergency brake shoes (inside rear disc brakes) replaced
• Motor mounts replaced
• Replaced alternator
• Recent belts (water pump (2), power steering
• New front check straps (door stops)
• New Shifter bushings
• Rebuilt vacuum pump (new gaskets etc)
• Replaced rear rotors
• Recent brake pads
• Battery replaced 18 months ago

. . . many other random parts and pieces; hard to remember them all- all of this work has been done within the last three years.

Installed new Aiwa radio and speakers with aux jack for I pods in 2005

I will include spare parts and specific Mercedes tools. Also I have most receipts related to the work I have done to the vehicle. It is an excellent daily driver and has very good restoration potential.

You can contact me for more info and pictures.
Thanks for your interest.
