This is a carbon copy of my original post from Mercedes shop.com
My original post is below, but I wanted to add an addendum and bring all of the true MB enthusiasts up to speed.
Today I spoke with Virginia at the Georgia Attorney Generals office of consumer affairs. She was VERY interested in what I had to say regarding Mr. Pittman. She had told me that because a postal money order was used (and coincidentally) cashed but the seller never followed through with the item, he has now committed a federal crime.
Granted that I am sure the feds will not be knocking down his door anytime soon for this one incident, but I strongly encourage ANYONE that has sent funds to Mr. Pittman to follow up with the same course of action that I did today. I also have a sister in law that works for the Michigan Attorney Generals office and she suggested contacting the post office to file an internet fraud complaint with them.
She also gave me a website to file a claim at the National Fraud Information Center which I will also leave below. If enough people take the time to do something about this, it may help. Last time I looked out back, my money tree was all dried up.
1) Georgia Attorney Generals office of Consumer Affairs
Governors office of Consumer Affairs

his personal information (David Pittman 4741 Apache Trail Atlanta, GA 30331 phone# 404-423-4879) copies of money orders or the m.o. receipt and make sure you include YOUR full name, address and phone number.

OK folks, I don't know if this violates terms of service on MB shop but I need to leave a thread regarding a gentleman from Georgia that humbly accepted my cash, but never followed through with the item.
To try to make a long story short, over 6 weeks ago I paid this guy $300.00 for an 84' 300SD transmission. After all the BS phone calls and emails I still sit here with a car on the rack, no transmission, and no means of getting to work, and no extra money for a much needed transmission.
I have received excuses from "I'm just a one man operation guy" to "I'm cleaning the grease off the transmission for you" to "Sorry guy, had a funeral" to "Gimme just a few more days, the transmission will ship out Sunday". Who the F#$@ ships ANYTHING on Sunday!!!!! Granted $300.00 is not A LOT of money but unfortunately it is for me. His original asking price went from $450 to $375 to $350 and finally $300 all within the same day, and we hadn't even haggled yet! He is also popular for offering a "warranty", so watch out for that. Good thing I only sent him a money order because his preferred method of payment was PayPal and/or credit card.
The moderator may pull my post for leaving this guys personal information, but after over a dozen phone calls/messages and numerous PM's with no satisfaction, I have no choice. So here is your information and IF he FINALLY comes through with my transmission, I will gladly remove this post. But with no return phone calls or emails I have to think that the worst has happened. I just tried to PM him and he now has that feature blocked. Right now I am pretty pissed and I wish I could reach through the phone and beat the $300.00 out of him.
His user name is "John Candy" but he may have other user names as well. HIS name is David Pittman and his address is 4741 Apache Trail Atlanta, GA 30331. Cell phone # is 404-423-4879. His email is firstname.lastname@example.org
