Good luck, my friend. I almost had to pay some one $6000 to take mine off my hands... Kidding, of course. But I did have enough problems that I almost lost my faith in the brand. And then I took a nice, long drive in my W124. Once again, all is right in the world.
Be prepared to get lots of questions about the Check Engine Light (also known as the Check Wallet Light), starting issues, and all kinds of electrical issues related to the wiring harness. Or not related to the wiring harness.
I'm thinking the market is more like $4K for this model unless you have impeccable service and maintainence records.
