WTB: Can of R12

My 1991 300E is a little low on R12 Freon. Local shops do not have R12 anymore but will be happy to put it in if I can find a can or two. If you have some new old stock and is willing to sell, I am interested in buying one or two cans. Thanks.

thats going to be hard to get since you need to have a certain license to obtain it. And it is against the environmental act.

Thanks, guys. I just hope someone has a can somewhere and can sell it to me. I do not have a license.

This is very frustrating because the AC still cools but not very cold. There has been no recharge in the 17 years of its life and I do not think there is a major leak.

Many shops do not have equipment to work with R12 anymore. If push comes to shove, I may have to convert it to R134.

Thanks, guys.

I found a shop that still service R12. It was about 1.5 lb low so the freon cost alone was $85.
