Hi, Shawn.

Awesome bikes, the 996s. You've done some nice mods, too.

Coupla thoughts/questions. If you do a post in OT that just says "check out my ducati" you can post some pics with it and list the specs, the mods probably will ignore it unless you replicate the sale issue. At least for now the link on the pic itself works.

Have you done the 6,000 mile service yet?

Bike ever been down? It looked like there were a couple of scrapes on the fairing

Any problems/issues/etc? Why are you selling, etc?

Can I trouble you for a price range you're considering?

Take care and enjoy the ride,

Thanks for the reply.

The bike is my best friend of 18 years, he also live a few houses away.

As for the question on 6,000 mile service ill have to find out. I’m pretty sure it has been done because I remember he complaining about how much it cost to keep these bikes in A1 shape and that nearest dealer is 190 miles away... Like I said ill find out tonight for sure. I called him before I replied to your post be he must be in the plant that block cell phone signals.

The bike has never been down or dropped, The big scratch on the fairing your talking is a reflection. I didn’t notice it in the picture but thinks for pointing it out. Ill get a few more photos of it. That "Ducatti" red is hard to photo... it looks pink in one angle then like Ketchup in another angle.

No issues at all with the bike other than it need a new home.

His reason for the sale is back in 2000 he went down on a R-1 about 150 mph.. Doctors saved his life and put him back together again…Once he relearned how to walk he bought the Duck... all went well until last year.

Long story short is when they put him back together they couldn’t fix all his neck and back problems and they are starting to bother him again.
Last summer, They went in a did some surgery on his neck, spine, vertebra, and disc in his back, removed a lot of fragments, scar tissue, and some stuff from bones?, put in new stuff then fused (lol glued) the bones and vertebras back into place. Anyway the doctor strongly said not to ride any more because the weight of the helmet and G forces are to much on the damaged neck and back.. And if it happens work loose or vibrate around to much he's pretty sure he will be paralyzed from the neck down if it doesn’t kill him. One of the things that are damaged is some how connected to something that goes to brain.. Heck I don’t know I’m no doctor.

So brad (the owner) being him self waited until he was all good and rode the bike again. Caused him so much pain he had to have some one else ride it home. The pain lasted a month so he said he was not going to try it again… That I think he is scared now with the newest news from the last doctor. He has two kids so im guessing that playing into it as well.

So bottom line is he has a very nice and expensive garage ornament

If you need or want some better photos let me know.. I cant get them tonight because i have my kids but i can get some tomarrow for you.

Also this bike is a biposto which mean two people can ride.

He is asking $9,200 for it, but im 99% sure it can be bought less than that.
