All service records back to original window sticker:
• includes original owner stamped maintenance to 125,000 miles plus all second owner files
Receipts for the work I’ve done to it in the last six months with Austin area Mercedes-Benz shops
• rebuilt transmission - from Austin Autohaus ($2,100)
• major A/C work completed – converted to 134, installed new compressor, a/c receiver dryer and expansion valve from German Star motors ($1,4000)
• 3 cracks in the dash.
• cruise control inoperable
• the back windows don’t go down (regulators)
• the drivers seat springs is a little saggy
• crack windshield (still passed inspection)
The AC works well, however it only works in the middle two vents. Evidently, there is a vacuum leak and so the outside vents on both sides don’t work with AC.
This can be repaired but the dash would have to be removed.
THIS WORK DOES NOT HAVE TO BE DONE, but if one was invest in replacing the dash while removing it to fix the AC, this would be an incredible example of a rare car.
I love this car and hate to get rid of it but I have a second baby on the way and could use something bigger.
I purchased with 214,000 miles from the 2nd owner, a nice older lady moving out of state who posted on Craig’s List.
She bought in December 1994 from Continental Cars (now Mercedes-Benz of Austin) with approx. 125,000. She had regular service from dealer and high-end MB only shop (Bens Workshop).
The original owner bought it in May 1987 at Norman Scott in Houston and had documented service performed there too.
