1983 126 SEC for sale- $2500

Hi Folks,

I have a 1983 Mercedes 380SEC coupe with about 66K miles for sale. I purchased back in Sept. '04 from the second owner who possessed this beauty for over 14 years with the intention to restore and bring her back to her original luster. The main issues are cosmetic. A new paint job and new seat covers will do the trick. Unfortunately I have run out of room and I picked up a 1995 S500 140 coupe to play around with and one of them has to go. The SEC has European headlights and clear corners. Again, she is not in perfect condition and no reasonable offer will be refused. Buy to restore or use for all the parts you could possibly need. Here are some of the items that will need to be addressed to make her 100%:

1. Paint job- "Clear" is peeling on hood and small rust spot on passenger side quarter panel. Everything else still looks good. That's it for a 23 year old car!

2. Interior- Leather is very bad. Seat covers or a new leather kit will do the job.

3. Power Steering Pump stopped working last month.

That is the worst of it. Engine runs well and transmission shifts smooth.Car is located in Chicago, IL. If interested, send me an e-mail and we can chat. Thanks.

Those in the know would like to find out if the timing chain has been replaced already, I'm sure, but with the 3.8L V8, goodluck selling that...
