Sorry no pics--no digital camera yet. I have for sale my 1989 300SE (W 126), in arctic white with burgundy interior. I have owned the car for 8 years and done most repair and maintenance myself. It has 136,600 miles on it. Oil change intervals have never been more than 3,000, usually less because I tend to change by the calendar more than miles. Everything works except the ABS, which I spent $800 trying to fix (very long story), to no avail. I have removed the ABS relays and had normal power brakes, which have worked well for years.
Car looks good and drives well. I replaced the headlight lenses and the front and rear chrome bumper covers (they were pitting), and had the car detailed on a regular basis. Recent mechanical repairs include new alternator, new KLIMA relay for the ACC, and rebuilt speedo. I also recently installed new Bosch plugs.
Tires are Bridgestone Turanzas with about 20,000 miles on them--always rotated and balanced on time, and wearing very evenly.
It is an excellent highway cruiser, but I now have three MBs, with room only for two. I am asking $3,800, OBO. Anyone interested in this series, and living within driving distance of central Illinois (about 130 miles south of Chicago), might want to have a look. It's a very solid car.
