FS: 1973 BMW 3.0CS parts car *BMW E9*
Its time to make some room! I had planned on using this car for parts, but no longer have the need. The car has been decommissioned since 1995, and has spent a few years outdoors- needless to say these cars RUST, from the inside out. So its sheetmetal is hardly worth saving for use- the paint is faded and there are a few areas of surface rust. BUT it has plenty of useable hard to find trim (side mouldings, grilles, headlight surrounds, windshield and window trims, taillights, door handles, etc...) and excellent glass. The interior is in decent condition- seats are ok, door panels are ok, headliner excellent, etc...
Mechanically the car is quite useable. Odometer reads 89K miles, which are true and correct. The engine was ported and polished in the early 90's, turns over fine and runs. It needs new filters, hoses, belts, a full tune and fluid flush and change. Would be perfect for someone looking for an engine to complete their E9 restoration project! the 4spd manual gearbox is useable with some service as well.
Its original alloy wheels are in the trunk, and it is sitting on vintage 16" BBS basketweaves (which I may keep).
Over all, this car has plenty of parts to spare for an E9 enthusiast. Its sheetmetal is rotting away, but everything else on it can be used.
I am willing to let this thing go for $1,000 OBO. Considering the amt of useable parts that are expensive to buy new due to the low production numbers of these cars, this car offers an exceptional value to any E9 enthusiast. Body trim, interior trim, glass, engine and drivetrain all in good useable shape.
Send a PM if you are interested in the car.
I will NOT ship the car, local pick up only. Car is located in northern CA.
