$10,000

I brought this G home from Germany in 2005 after searching for a suitable candidate for about a year. It's 100% legal and legitimate. All EPA/DOT paperwork, German title and clear Texas title. It was restored in Germany in 2001. Unknown mileage, the 5-digit odo has probably turned over at least twice. Very little rust. Runs great, starts right up every time. Drives great, tracks straight and true. I've used it as my daily driver since NOV 2005. Front and rear diff locks.

Problems:
1.There are some paint bubbles and cracks (probably from the Texas sun) on the hood, at the back rear window and at the front of the driver's side door.
2. I backed into a tree at a campground this spring and damaged the passenger rear corner panel, bumper half and tailight (pics on request from serious buyer), I have the parts list and source for repair parts--it'll cost you less than $800; it's really not that bad.
3.The fuel guage stopped working last month (sending unit?)
4.It has a very slow main seal leak--leaves a few small drops over a two or three day period; only have to add a little oil every few weeks.

I'd prefer a buyer who has "G experience". This vehicle deserves someone who has the time and mechanical abilities to support her. It just needs a bit of work to recapture the magnificent, stock condition of it's 2001 restoration.

I will not ship, buyer must accompany me to my bank to verify funds. Free to inspect at any time.

Sadly, no. That's one of the reasons I'm selling. Simply unbearable in 100+ Texas heat.

It's comforrtable at 60 mph, can reach 70 with the engine screaming and a good tailwind--she's really not made for the highway. That said, I was using on the highway as my daily driver and I've taken 3 or 4 hour highway trips to the beach without any problems, just wasn't in a hurry. Yes it's a diesel, gets about 19 mpg. I was going to covert it to burn waste veggie oil (http://www.goldenfuelsystems.com/Products.html) but never got around to it. There are aftermarket AC companies that could install one. Not sure how much $$$. Other option would be to source parts from an MB 240D sedan.

Here are some pics of the corner damage.

Thanks, Shawn
