Benztech. I haven't really gone to Benz dealer for any A or B service. The C230 2003 I sold used to get free maintenance so i wouldn't know exactly.

From what I gather here. A service could cost $200 and B about $400 depending on how many parts replaced. I'm not sure when exaclty the transmission fluid gets flushed ? My SLK has about 56K miles. all I done since I bought it was to changed the oil and filter when it turned 55K miles. let me know as I think being tech you have an idea as to how much delears charge.

thanks

Hey Benztech327,

I respect your interest in side work and more power to you on that..........but posting on a public board some of the shortcuts that "might or might not" take place at dealers might not be the greatest idea. I know you want to be as honest as possible to your potential customers, but some things are better said in private.........if you know what I mean. I'm not trying to tell you what to do here, just making a suggestion. I'm sure you don't want to give MB dealers a bad name. Again, good luck with the side work!!

I think we all know that dealers have bad name when it comes to part$ and $ervice. He works for one of them and just trying to save some of us some money.

I work for a dealer as well. Sure dealers are more exspensive when it comes to service. They have the special factory tools and the knowledge. That's not what I was talking about. I think sidework is great. I've done work on the side for a few guys from this board. I'm all for helping people save money while I make a little extra. However, I do recognize that dealers serve a valuable purpose and not all of them have a bad name.
