Unimog Expeditionary Camper
This vehicle was designed and built for world-wide expeditionary travel.

1978 U1300L Mercedes-Benz Unimog
55,000+ kilometers on odometer

Engine and Transmission
Mercedes-Benz Remanufactured OM352A Turbocharged Diesel used in the U1700L model (less than 1,000 miles on clock)
Mercedes-Benz Remanufactured UG3/65-8/13.01GPA 718.811 Transmission (less than 1,000 miles of use)

Two-wheel, Four-wheel, and Four-wheel with locking differentials
PTO operated winch
24-inch clearance
Independent movement of cab and cabin for off-road travel
Air-operated disc brakes all wheels
Cab air-conditioning

Built by Unicat (premier expeditionary camper manufacturer in Europe) for the University of Munich. Remodeled by Miller and Miller Boatyard of Seattle.

It sure would be interesting to know why a truck with 55k km needed a new engine and transmission!!
