Arrow 300SL Gullwing

The all time classic 50's Mercedes-Benz. The famous 300SL Gullwing which was the epitome of German engineering and the favorite toy of the Rich & Famous in those years. One of the most desirable post collector cars in today's market and a solid investment. This very car meets the highest standards and expectations as it is in absolute concours show condition. A nut & bolt frame-off restoration with a cost of $300,000 has been performed. Ready to show or drive, equppied with belly pans. You will not find a better example anywhere. 1955 300SL Gullwing $550000obo serious buyers email mattrise@yahoo.com

...The car was restored by Bob Platz, Precision Autoworks in East Camden, New Jersey. It is a restoration shop specialized in 300SL Gullwings and Roadsters only. $300,000 were spent on the frame-off restoration alone. Located in Riverside, CT

There are a few things about the pictures that don't look quite right, to me. Otherwise it looks like a sweet ride... Can't get past the niggles; however. Ah, what do I know. I'll never be in the neighborhood of a half-million to spend on a car...

Where is it again that we are going... And why are we in a handbasket?

The "50's" encompassed quite a few years, nine of them to be exact. Could you reveal which one please?
