1982 300SD for sale
Have a good running 1982 300SD with only 152K miles. This is the W126 chassis. Car has no rust anywhere, and original paint in good condition. (Only a small spot peeling on lip of trunk) It has several small "parking lot dings". Everything works! Grey with Tan interior. Cold A/C, Climate control, Sunroof, AM/FM/CD/MP3 radio, Burns fuel cleanly and cruises along at any legal speed. Transmission shifts smoothly and shows no signs of problems. Cruise control, power radio antenna, power windows and seats, power door locks, all working perfectly. Car has always been kept in a garage so the dash has no cracks. The car has MB chrome alloy wheels and chrome wheel well trim. All the chrome very shiny. This car is a real "looker". Tires are in good condition but are approaching the "tread wear indicators" so would plan on replacing them in the near future. Car has been well maintained mechanically, but it is showing some wear on the interior. Headliner and door post trim have some small tears, and the seats are showing some age but without any tears or significant damage.
This car is my everyday driver and I would feel comfortable to take off in it tomorrow on a cross- country trip without hesitation. I am selling it because I am getting a camping trailer so I need to get something else that has some towing capabilities. The car delivers between 26 and 30 MPG with the mix of driving I do. I would not be selling the car except for my desire to have a vehicle that can tow a camper.
I would like to hear from others in this forum that have an opinion as to the value of the car. Of course I would entertain any offers if someone was interested. If it does not sell on this forum within a week or so, I will list it on e-bay so having an idea of its value would be useful to me.
If you want to write me, you can respond via this forum, but to be sure I receive it, please copy my e-mail address as well. email@example.com
