For sale is my 1992 300E which I purchased in August of 2001 with 72K miles. The VIN# is WDBEA30D7NB636058 and was delivered 10/31/91. The car now has 114K miles on it and is Anthracite Grey (172) with Palomino (264) leather interior. I’ve only put 42K miles on it in 7 years of ownership as I do very little driving and own 5 vehicles. I also installed 16” AMG Monoblock wheels (3/25/02), ‘S’ style grille and Euro headlights (9/11/02). I found the factory yellow fog lights quite useless and opted for a complete Bosch Euro system replete with proper headlight blanks necessary when eliminating the headlight wipers. Having driving lights in place of fog lights is better suited for night driving here in Northern New Jersey. The factory grill, factory wheels and Evolution-4 All Weather Cover go with the car as well. The car has been regularly serviced by a local high-end foreign car specialist for the past 7 years as well as several trips to my local MB dealership. Neither one is cheap however both operate by the book and diagnosis/repairs are correct the first time. Obviously I have all the records plus I knew the previous owner personally; a German doctor. (Go figure!) Everything in the car functions properly; power antenna, radio, 6 disc CD changer, AC/heat, power seats, sunroof, etc; and the body is 100% rust free. A couple years ago I installed 4 new BF Goodrich Traction TA’s which presently have just over 12K miles on them. Oil and filter changes have been performed religously using Mobil 1 synthetic oil. The only major work the car ever required was to change the head gasket (4/18/02 at 78,325 miles) and replacement of the entire exhaust system less catalytic converter (7/29/04 at 94K miles). All systems have been flushed and fluids replaced at specified intervals, rotors replaced at the same time with pads; nothing has been overlooked. Obviously the car has always been washed and waxed and when not in use remains under an all weather cover. I am an enthusiast and fanatical about my cars; if you search ‘1genuis’ on this forum you’ll also uncover my ‘94’ E500 for sale which has received the same care and attention. The asking price of the car is $4,500.00. If interested please contact me for more details.
I did get divorced once but the new airbag doesn't talk as much as the old one did. Only kidding; no I haven't replaced it and didn't know there was any reason to do so.
